    Mongolia is a quite big country -It is important to appreciate the landscape for it's vastness.  Rugged Mongolia is an adventure destination where travellers can see the tradition of the past still practised today by hardy nomads dwelling on the country's vast steppe and deserts. 
    The trip, we offering you, will give a good chance to experience their tradition, culture. way of life and hospitality. Despite the warm welcome you will receive, there are several things to explore within central part of Mongolia. For example; spectacular countryside, vast steppes, rugged mountains, clear lake, and abundant wildlife and livestock.

Day 0: Meeting day
Our will meet you at airport upon your arrival in Ulaanbaatar city/capital of Mongolia/ and take you to the hotel you choose. The rest of day is for you to get rid of fatique and enjoy a free day. Prepare yourself, on the most of days of this tour, we'll spend a several hours on the road. Note: the camera with full battery, torch, and other stuffs/suitable clothing for horse/camel riding/.

Day-1: City tour 
In the morning our experienced guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel you stayed, then we'll start our wonderful trip  visiting to the Gandan Monastery to have blessing the those:

  1. Gandan monastery

  2. National history museum

  3. Chingis Khaan squire

  4. Theatre for tradional music and dance


First site- Gandan monastery

Gandan is one of the largest monastery in Mongolia and of the biggest touristic attraction. It was built in 1838 by fourth Bogd Gegeen. This is the only monastery that could survive from religious purge of 19th-century and continue its original function.

The full name is Gandantegchinlen, can be translated as 'the great place of eternal joy'. Inside is main Buddha statue , 26m high and made of copper with a gild gold covering. It contains inside 25 tonnes of medicinal herbs, 334 sutra, and two million bundles of mantras.

The original statue was destroyed in 1920 during the communist purge, and actual one was rebuilt with donation of Mongolian people as symbol of Buddhist revival in the mid 1920's.

Day-2. Journey to Khustai national park

Ulan Bator - Khustai national park
Visit of Winter Palace musuem. This was residence of last king of Mongolia, Eight Bogd Jabzundamba Khutagt lived for 20 years. Journey to Khustai national park. We will spot wild horses and other rare animals. Highlight is the  moment to observe them. We'll take car untill we see them, but also we take walk on certain places. Then time to visit nomadic family

Day-3. Journey to Kharhorin

After breakfast, we are driving to Kharhotrin, the ancient capital of Mongolia. The legendary city was founded by order of Chingis Khaan in 1220 and was completed by his son Ugudei.  The silk road went by the capital. The Mongolian Empire was governed from this city, until Kubilai Khan moved the capital in Beijing. 
In Kharhorin city, we will visit Erdenzuu monastery, built in 1586 by Abtai Khan and the Museum of Kharkhorin. The monastery was built with typical Chinese and Tibetan buildings style inluding 108 sacred stupas.

Day-4. Journey to Orkhon waterfall family

Today we are driving to Orkhon waterfall
Orkhon Khurhree /Waterfall/
Orkhon valley is one of the top sights in central Mongolia. Orkhon river flows untill Russien border where it joins with the Selenge Murun/Bigger river/. It streches 1,120km. Orkhon Khurhree is located in the popular Orkhon Valley, better-known for its past rich history. Around three hours drive from Khujirt. Orkhon Valley had been formed by volcanic eruption. It is 22m deep. 
About 250m downstream from waterfall. Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the valley is a land of nomadism and many breeders set their summer camp there.

Day-5 Journey to Eight lake
Today we are driving to Eight lake via Khangai Nuruu. We will go through a deep and high forest with 2800m altitude. The landscape is beautiful. Eight lake is one of the best place for a horse trek. Naiman Nuur means Eight Lake, by its name there are eight separate lake actually 9 lake.  Eight Lake was created by volcanic eruptions centuries ago and now it is part of Khuisiin Naiman Nuur Nature Reserve. The lakes are located about 35 southwest of Orkhon Khurhree. Roads to the Lake are tough, only reachable by horse. But the landscape is breathtaking.

Day-6 Hiking day

Today we go hiking for the veiw of Shireet nuur which is one eight lake. Peaceful morning in high alititud land with only few nomads. The lake is perhaps most stunning among other lakes.  In the afternoon, you can explore another lake named Nogoon which is located on crater of extingt volcano or you can hang doing whatever you like. You will be able to give hand to host woman and man.

Day 7: Journey to Ongi monastery
Ongi Khiid 

This small mountainous area along the river /Ongiin gol/ which is the tenth longest river of Mongolia with an overall length of 435 km. This temple makes a pleasant place to break a trip after long drive from Baynzag.
OngiinKhiid is a sightworthy monastery on Ongiriver about 18 km from SaikhanOvoo. Formerly one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia, it was founded in 1660 and consisted of two temples complexes on the North and South of the OngiGolriver. The older southern complex consisted of various administrative buildings as well as 11 temples. The northern complex, built in the 18th century, consisted of 17 temples - among them one of the largest temples in all of Mongolia. The grounds housed also 4 Buddhist universities. It was completely destroyed in 1939 under KhorloogiinChoibalsan, the then president and leader of the Communist Party of Mongolia. Over 200 monks were killed, and many surviving monks were imprisoned or forced to join the Communist controlled army. A large number of ruins including a tall stupa can be seen on the river and on the surrounding hills. In the 1990s, it was decided to rebuild the monastery. At present (2011), 13 monks live in the monastery.

Day 8: Journey to Bayan-Zag
 This morning we head to Bayan zag /rich saxual/
Bayan zag
Bayanzag, which means ‘rich in saxaul shrubs’, is more commonly known as the ‘Flaming Cliffs’, a name penned by the paleontologist  Roy Chapman Andrews. First excavated in 1922, it is best-known worldwide for the number of dinosaur bones and eggs found in the area, which you can see in museums around the world. Even if you are not a ‘dienophile’, the beauty of the surrounding landscape is a good reason to visit. It’s a classic desert of rock, red sands, scrub, sun and awesome emptiness. Bayanzag is around 90km from Dalanzadgad. Stay overnight may in the tent if the weather is fine

Day 9: Journey to Khongor sand dune

After having breakfast, we will be heading to the Khongor Sand Dunes-situated around 120 km from Yoliin Am.  Often called as the singing dunes and surrounded with mountains. This grand sand dune streches for 180km going from nord-west to south-east. The most width part is 27km on the nord-west section.The site is amazing. Khongor Sand Dunes are some of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. Reaching to the top of sand hill will be exhausting and around 40 minutes to one hour. but the views of the desert from the sundy summet are breathtaking. The sand dunes are a great place for riding camel so we take camel ride there. May stay overnight in the tent if weather is fine.

Day 10:  Journey to Yoliin am
Yoliin am /Yol valley/
Yoliin Am is located 45km from province of Dalanzadgad. Altitude is 2800m from sea level. This is one of the best places to encounter wild animals and wander through the majestic canyons.  This is the deep and narrow canyon in the Gobi GurvanSaikhan /Gobi three beauty / mountains. In the narrowest valley is named after Lammergeyer, which is called Yol in Mongolian.  The Lammergeyer is old world Vulture. In there you can see 1-1.5m tick ice in the middle of gorges where it barely gets sunshine during summer time and the sky looks pretty narrow line between canoyns.

Day 11: Journey to Baga Gazriin Chuluu 
Baga Gazriin Chuluu
There will be seen a granite stone-mountains whose tallest one is elevated at 1768m above sea level. And you will visit Bolor Cave, see eye treatment spa, ruins of ancient temple and other sightseeing. The landscape and  rock formation are sacred to the locals. It's pretty spiritual place.  In the n19th-century two important monks lived here and they had left some script and drawing as mark of their passage. There have been a open theatre of national long song of Mongolia. There exists a rich family of plants many wild animals. On the way you will not be bored, a divers landscape will keep you awake and  lovely lunch at Sacred Beautiful Mountain Zorgol will knock your sock off.

Day-12 Back to Ulaanbaatar
Today we are driving back to Ulaanbaatar. I will have lunch at the beautiful site of Zorgol Khairhan Mountain
